Define document type

The document type is defined in 'Document type. Open' (MNS060). The definition is used to build a specific search query for a file within IDM that holds a document design. In 'Output Service. Open' (MNS216) a search sequence can be defined with a maximum of six documents types.

Document type ID

Indicates a document type ID within IDM. The ID in M3 BE must exactly match the ID in IDM. Browse and validation is done against IDM.

Attribute ID

Indicates an attribute ID within IDM. A valid attribute ID is dependent on a document type ID. The ID in M3 BE must exactly match the ID in IDM.

Attribute value

Indicates how to set the value for an attribute ID.

Multi-value attribute

This check box indicates if a document type attribute is a multi-value attribute.

When a multi-value attribute ID is enabled in M3, you must also enable the equivalent configuration in Infor Document Management (IDM) for the attribute. You must align the settings in IDM and M3 for multi-value attributes when configuring this feature.
