Maintenance Scheduling Board

Maintenance Scheduling Board is an Experience Designer application that is used to reschedule maintenance work.

You can allocate resources, manage absence transactions, and view an overview of service planning. You can also access relevant maintenance programs for further processing of the order.

M3 Business Engine Configuration

These M3 Business Engine configurations are required to run the Maintenance Scheduling Board application:

Application authorization

To access and run the Experience Designer application, you must be authorized to the M3 Business Engine functions and API transactions used by the application.

Limitations

MOS199MI_Lst

A few values are hard coded in the API for the Maintenance Scheduling Board application.

This table shows the hard-coded values used by the API:

Field Value Comment
LTYP 1 'Sorting order' is set to 1-'Work center'.
PMT1 1 Filters the resources displayed in the resource grid. Enables filtering on field EMNO.
FRTO 1 Enables the work center to use a from-to value. If you leave the field blank, you can use the three available fields for work centers instead.

How to use the application

The application includes several tabs that you can navigate based on your task or area of focus.

Gantt chart

Use the Gantt Chart tab to view, schedule, and manage work orders, work requests, employee availability, and capacity information.

Gantt grid

The Gantt component is filled with data based on the input data in the filter/select fields. When you open the application, these filter fields contain default values:
  • Facility based on the user settings in 'User. Open' (MNS150), {userContext.FACI}
  • Start date set to today's date by using macro {DATE(0)}
  • Finish date set to 30 days forward by using macro {DATE(30)}
The minimum required input is a facility, a start date, a finish date, and a department, planning area, or work center.

Buttons

These are the available buttons:

  • Reschedule WO: Updates the work order at the header level. If multiple operations are connected to a work order, all operations move in time when you use this option. This option applies only to work orders and does not apply to work requests.
  • Reschedule operation: Updates duration and dates for work orders and work requests.
  • Allocate: Enables allocation and deallocation of work orders and work requests.
  • Pause/Restart: Is used when work requires replanning for another time and a new operation is required for visibility.
  • Absence: Adds a transaction in 'Absence. Clock-In/Out' (TMS200) and displays a blocked section in the Gantt grid.
  • Text block: Displays the existing text block for a selected work order. The dialog also supports adding and deleting text blocks. This option displays text for work orders only and does not display text for work requests.
  • Release order: Releases the selected work request to a work order.

Details

The Details tab displays additional information about the selected task in the Gantt grid.

Form_OperationDetails displays information only when the selected task is a work order because the transactions require work-order-specific information.

Service Error Report

The Service Error Report tab displays service error report information for the selected work order and operation in the Gantt grid.

The configured transactions retrieve information based on the work order and operation number. If service error reports are created without an operation number, the application requires reconfiguration to display the information.

Absence Transaction

The Absence tab lists all absence transactions. You can add, update, and delete absence transactions.

Capacity

The Capacity tab provides a view of an employee's capacity for a specified period.

Start by specifying a work center range to list all employees. When you select an employee in the list, the employee capacity for the start-finish period in the filter/select fields is displayed in a list per day and a summarized chart for the period.

The start and finish dates in the Capacity DataGrid contains these default values using macro:

  • Start date {DATE(0)}
  • Finish date {DATE(30)}
