Enter Work Center for Rough-cut Resource Requirements

This procedure is used to enter the work centers used to calculate RCCP resource requirements. The RCCP calculation uses only work centers set as resource type 4 or 5.

Resource type 4 (work center). Resource type 4 work centers consist of one or more regular work centers (resource type 1). Products whose orders load regular work centers are also included in type 4 work centers. Capacity for this work center can be entered manually or defaulted from the total capacity of the work centers included. Capacity is defaulted this way when the Capacity field is left blank and option 22=Re-create capacity is specified.
Resource type 5 (separate work center for RCCP resource calculation). These work centers are not connected to other work centers and are used for warehouse space, personnel, suppliers, etc.

Follow these steps

Select 'Work Center. Open' (PDS010).
Enter the name of the new work center.
Enter either 4 or 5 in the Resource type field. For the latter, capacity must also be entered.
Enter the necessary information in the other panels.
For resource type 4 work centers, the ID must be entered in the Included in work center field for all work centers included.
Specify option 12 to call 'Work Center. Change Capacity' (PDS015). Remember to re-create capacity by specifying option 22=Re-create.
