Aggregate Macro Order Details Manually
This document explains how you regenerate the aggregation of materials and operations into a macro order.
This is often done automatically as a scheduled job and when macro orders are transferred to M3 Planning Workbench (M3 PWB). It can, however, be useful to manually start the aggregation if you, for example, have changed data in the macro order and want to view the effect it has on the aggregation right away.
Outcome
Materials and operations in the connected orders and/or supply chains are aggregated into the macro order. The relations between the aggregated materials/operations and the original orders/supply chains are saved and the following macro order headers are updated:
- Macro order materials (MMAODM)
- Macro order operations (MMAODO)
- Macro order relations (MMAODR).
The updated macro order can be used for planning purposes.
For a detailed description of how the aggregation is performed, see Macro Orders.
Before you start
A macro order must exist in 'Macro Order. Open' (RPS300).
Follow These Steps
-
Start 'Macro Order Details. Generate' (RPS390/E).
-
Select the macro orders to aggregate by specifying a range of facilities and warehouses, statuses, bucket start dates, macro order policies, macro order types, and macro order numbers.
In the current version of the system, macro order type 001 is the only valid type.
-
Select one of the following alternatives:
- If details should be aggregated again for a macro order regardless of whether the details are still considered valid or not, select the Re-create check box.
-
If only details should be aggregated again for a macro order if the validity time has passed, do not select the Re-create check box.
The validity time for macro order details are displayed in the 'Next generation date/time – macro order' field for the macro order in 'Macro Order. Open' (RPS300). This date/time is set automatically when the details are generated, according to the macro order policy.

Press Enter.
