Analyze Projected Load
This procedure is used to determine whether projected load exceeds capacity in any rough-cut planning resource at any time. If so, capacity or load must be changed.
Before you start
To start this procedure, projected load must be calculated (see procedure Calculate Projected Load).
Follow these steps
Follow the steps below to analyze projected load.
-
Select ‘Resource Reqmnt. Display’ (RCS100).If load is based on planned orders, it is assumed to belong to each order’s finish date. Otherwise, load is set for the middle of each period (as for forecast and master production schedule).
-
Make sure that you have entered the correct version on the P panel.
-
Select aggregation level by entering Type. Use F7 and F8 to find the resource to analyze.
-
Press F15 to analyze detail load (each planned order that loads a resource). Detail load can also be accessed from ‘Resource Reqmnt. Display Detailed’ (RCS105). Load per product and order, or per product group, can be displayed using options 11 and 12, respectively.
-
Press F14 to review accumulated load.
-
Press F16 to review over- and underload. This can also be done in ‘Resource. Display Over/Under Utilization’ (RCS120).
-
Review the results. Capacity and load can be printed in ‘Resource Reqmnt. Print’ (RCS600).
