Enter Resource Requirements Profile

This procedure is used to create resource requirements profiles. Depending on the identity type, these profiles can be for a product included in the master production schedule or a technology group.

A technology group contains items defined together. These groups are updated in ‘Item. Open’ (MMS001/F).

A resource requirements profile for work centers contained in other work centers can also be created in ‘Resource Reqmnt Profile. Create’ (RCS300).

Before you start

To start this procedure, these prerequisites must be met:

The resources or work centers to be connected to products must be defined as work centers with resource type 4 or 5.
Resources with resource type 4 (with capacity totaled for the work centers contained), the ID must be entered in the Included in work center field for each of the work centers contained.
Capacity is specified for work centers with resource type 5.

Follow these steps

Follow the steps below to enter a resource requirements profile.

Select ‘Resource Reqmnt Profile. Open’ (RCS030).
Specify the facility.
Create a new resource requirements profile. Enter the ID and identity type. Enter a description using up to 30 positions.
Press Enter to display ‘Resource Structure. Open’ (RCS031). Connect resources to the resource requirements profile as described in Enter Bill of Resources.
In ‘Resource Reqmnt Profile. Open’ (RCS030), repeat steps 3 and 4 to enter more resource requirements profiles.
