Display Material Plan per Alias Number

This document explains how to view the material plan based on alias number, which is alternative ID for one or more item numbers. Main purpose of 'Material Plan. Display Per Alias Number' (MMS192) is to monitor material plans and aid in investigation tasks. For example, you can easily retrieve the total requirements for a specific style number from its associated SKUs.

To view material plans based on alias category, these pre-requisites must be met:
  1. 'Forecast Logic' must be defined in ‘Item. Connect Warehouse’ (MMS002) for the respective item. Without this setup, detailed alias information may not be displayed in (MMS192). For more information, refer to Forecast Logic.
  2. To ensure data visibility in (MMS192), the 'Period Frame' (DPID) for an item must be set in (MMS002).

For Fashion, it is recommended to set up the lowest level parameter to '99' and designate the default alias category as '88'. This configuration represents the style and is the most common way of viewing the material plan.

(MMS192) can be used in displaying the material plan per alias number. To navigate this panel, there are selection filters in the headings. Apart from the selection of warehouse and alias number the important selections are:
  • 'Period frames' determine start and end dates for each period displayed in the plan, configured in 'Period Frames. Open' (MMS083). 'Period frames' can store ranges by days, weeks, months, or any combination, allowing flexible viewing options. For instance, you can set up weekly views for the first month, followed by monthly views until a year from the current date. Each period on the material plan is referred to as a 'bucket,' and the start date field in the headings facilitates navigation to the specific periods.
  • Sorting orders - You can select two sorting orders, 'net forecast', and 'requirements total'. The 'requirements total' option shows fewer rows for each period but makes that more periods are visible on the panel. This is especially helpful when dealing with shorter time spans.

Follow these steps to display material plan per alias number:

  1. Select (MMS192).
  2. Select the alias category, alias number, and start date.
  3. Specify 'Season' and 'Point of Time Table', if applicable.
  4. Set 'Period frames' to group days according to the appropriate periods.
