Material Plan Calculation Statistics
In instances where MRP calculation takes an extended amount of time, determining the specific items causing the issue can be challenging. The material plan calculation statistics help identify both the items and the contributing factors that lead to performance issues during the completion of the MRP calculations.
MRPSTA table
- 'Start date' (STDT)' and 'Start time' (STTI) - the fields indicate the actual start date and time of MRP calculation for the item.
- 'MRP run time' (MRUN) - the field indicates the time it takes for MRP to calculate an item in milliseconds.
- 'Number of planned orders created' (NPLC) - the field indicates the number of planned orders created after MRP calculation for the item.
- 'Number of planned orders updated' (NPLU) - the field indicates the number of planned orders updated after MRP calculation for the item.
- 'Number of planned orders deleted' (NPLD) - the field indicates the number of planned orders deleted after MRP calculation for the item.
- 'Number of material plan record read' (NOMR) - the field indicates the number of material plan table (MITPLO) read for an item during the MRP run.
There is no interactive program where the statistics table can be viewed. You can create an information browser category for (MRPSTA) in 'Information Browser Category. Open' (CMS010). It can be used for ad hoc reporting, viewing a list of records with search and filtering capabilities in (CMS100).
Population and deletion of MRPSTA
To populate records in the MRPSTA table, the parameter 'MRP statistics retention days' (MSRD) must have a value greater than zero in 'Settings - Warehouse & Planning Control' (CRS701). Setting the value to zero does not save records in the table.
The 'MRP statistics retention days' field also indicates the duration that the records are preserved in the table. Records older than the specified number of days are automatically deleted, when the MRP is run through 'Material Plan. Recalculate' (MMS999) or when the auto job for 'Planning overview' (MMS911) is started.
