Create Forecast from Demand History

The purpose of this procedure is to create forecasts per item/warehouse using information transferred from demand history.

Before you start

To start this procedure the following prerequisites must be met:

  • The forecast method for the item/warehouse is entered in 'Item. Connect Warehouse' (MMS002).
  • The selected forecast methods are entered and specified, and the number of forecast periods is entered in 'Forecast Method. Open' (FCS300).
  • Demand history per item/warehouse for the previous year is entered for the periods to be transferred.

Follow these steps

Follow the steps below to transfer demand history to a forecast.

  1. Select 'Manual Forecast. Update fr Last Year His' (FCS480), panel E.

  2. Specify the items for which demand history will be transferred.

  3. Press Enter to start the transfer.

Output

Fresh forecast quantities for the items specified are entered after using this procedure.
