Order Category

All planned or executed logistical transactions in M3 are assigned a category, such as forecast, purchase order, or manufacturing order.

The order category is a three-digit code that acts as a determining factor in planning management and in Supply Chain Execution. The first two digits indicate the type of order, or whether the planned or scheduled is based on a forecast. The third digit indicates if the order/issue is planned or released.
