Internal Rental Process Limitations
Limitations
The internal rental process has some limitations that are important to know:
- The internal agreement and any external agreement must belong to different divisions.
- The internal rental agreement and the purchase order (PO) must have the same currency for internal rental.
- Any order attribute information from the internal PO is not transferred to the internal rental agreement. Attribute information from internal rental agreement is also not transferred to the internal PO.
- Rental additional line charges and service charges are not transferred to the internal PO. Only header charge and line charges are considered.
- If you edit the internal rental agreement after activation, these updates are not transferred to the corresponding PO. The same applies if you edit the internal rental PO after printout, these updates are not transferred to the corresponding internal rental agreement.
- You cannot add a PO line after internal rental agreement activation.
- A quantity greater than one is not allowed on the internal rental PO line if the item is lot controlled.
- A rate type of 'Hour' is not supported for internal rental.
- Stepped price is not considered on line type I.
- You cannot perform these actions on a line of type 'I':
- Use the function change of site
- Use the function involuntary sale
- Use the function exchange
- Use the function up/down rent
- Change return warehouse
- Manually create one
- Copy the line
- A meter reading
- A consumption meter reading
- You cannot manually add any other line types on an internal rental agreement.
- You cannot create a quotation from the temporary internal rental agreement.
- Only lot control methods 0 and 2 are supported.
- You cannot separate internal and external rental agreements in the sales statistics.
- You cannot separate internal and external rental agreements or exclude internal rental agreements in the rental utilization statistics.
