Daily Flash Report

'Daily Flash Report' (STS390) is a calculation program that calculates accrued and forecasted revenue for rental, x-hire, and rental sales. The table STRERE is built up from the selection done in (STS390), and you can display records in 'Rental Daily Flash. Display' (STS395).

Before you start

For records to be created in the table STRERE and displayed in (STS395), the selection you make in (STS390) must contain active agreement lines.

Follow these steps

  1. Open 'Daily Flash Report' (STS390).
  2. Specify values in the selection fields that fulfill the purpose of the report run:
    • 'Calc date' - The date set in this field controls the split of accrued and forecasted revenue. Accrued revenue is calculated up to the day before calculation date, and forecasted revenue is calculated from this date.

    • 'Create summary' - If this check box is selected, the revenue calculations are summarized based on these key values: Warehouse, Agreement number, Customer number, and Item number. The result is stored in table STRERE and displayed in (STS395) with transaction codes 1-4.
    • 'Incl stand down' - If this check box is selected, a check is made if there are any stand down days connected to the agreement line for the periods being included in the calculation. The stand down days are deducted from the amount presented in each field in STRERE in (STS395).
    • 'Keep existing - If this check box is not selected, all existing records in STRERE are deleted before new records are created.

If the check box is instead selected, a check is made against TRRGDT (entry date) on existing records in STRERE. Records with TRRGDT the same as the current date are saved. Records with an older date are deleted.

With this functionality available, you can run (STS390) multiple times on the same day using different selections, without deleting previous runs.
      Note:

The records in STRERE in (STS395) are not unique per agreement line number. This means that if an agreement has the same item number twice on the same agreement, those are aggregated and result in one record in STRERE. This also means that if the same agreement number is included in two runs during the same day, without deleting the records in between, the same agreement line is aggregated to the previous run. When using the 'Keep existing' functionality, it is therefore important that each run is unique.

This setting must therefore be used with caution, and the recommendation is to have it unselected.

'Keep existing' does not have an effect on the summary result. If summary records already exist, those are not overwritten if 'Keep existing' is selected.

    • 'Facility' - You can select a specific facility or range of facilities to be included in the report run.

    • 'Agreement number' - You can select a specific agreement, agreements, or range of agreements to be included in the report run.
    • 'Agr order type' - You can select a specific rental agreement order type or range of order types to be included in the report run.
  3. When you made the selection, press Enter to start the report.
  4. You can view the result by using the table STRERE or the display program (STS395).

If you set the 'Create summary' check box when running (STS390), you can view these records in (STS395) by using the filter for transaction code.

Description of the different revenue fields in table STRERE and display program (STS395):

Note:

'Start Date' is the start date of the agreement line or the day after 'Invoiced To Date' of the agreement line, if an agreement line has been invoiced.

The number of days calculated is based on the number of invoiceable days as per the agreement line.

At termination, the termination date is used as the accrued and forecast 'To' date.
