Rental Connection to POM

This functionality provides a tool for managing rental agreement lines connected to a project element, similar to how other order activities are managed.

The functionality enables you to select option 31='Activities' for a project element in POS100, when the project element type category is 'Rental activity', to open program STS140. In this program, you can view the rental agreements connected to the project and create new rental agreements.

Background

In order to efficiently support projects where rental activities are a vital part of the business, a tool is needed to monitor and manage the rental agreements that are connected to the project.

Follow these steps

  1. Start 'Project. Open' (POS091).

    POS100 is displayed containing existing projects.

  2. Select option 11='Consist of' on a project.

    All elements that the project consists of are displayed.

  3. Select option 31='Activities' on a project element setup for rental.

    'Rental Logistics Toolbox. Open' (STS140), view 9, is displayed containing the project number and element number defaulted from POS100. In this program, you can manage current rental agreements.

  4. Select function key F14='Rental Agreement. Create' (STS085) to create a new rental agreement for the project.

    The project number and element number are defaulted from STS140 to STS085, along with other values.

  5. Add the necessary values in STS085 and press Enter. A new rental agreement is created.

  6. Returning back to STS140, you can view the new rental agreement.

In addition, the project number and element number are added in 'Rental Agreement. Open' (STS100), panel F, and the values entered there are defaulted to 'Rental Agreement Lines' (STS201), panel I.

In the transactions AddRentalAgree and UpdRentalAgree in STS100MI, the fields project number and element number are added as input fields. In the list transactions in STS100MI, the fields project number and element number are added as output fields.
