Create Material Budget from Material Template

Before you start

To start this procedure, the following prerequisites must be met:

• A budget version is entered.
• Budget items are selected for the material budget in ‘Project Budget Item. Open’ (POS035).
• A material template is connected to an order quantity if material should be generated from a material template.
• Budget items and acquisition activities (purchasing, manufacturing or requisition/distribution) are entered for material in material templates if budget items in the project budget should be updated when the material is generated from a material template.

Follow these steps

1. Select program 'Project Budget. Open Lines' (POS111). The material budget can be called in any of the following ways.

   • Press F17=Material plans, and all material lines that affect the budget are displayed.
   • Specify option 11=Material lines for the budget element to process. All the material lines that affect the budget element are displayed.
   • Specify option 11=Material lines for the budget item to process. All the material lines that affect the budget item are displayed. Budget items always belong to a budget element.

2. Press F15 = Generate material template. Material is retrieved to the material budget based on the material templates connected to order activities.

3. If the product/material is connected to an acquisition activity and budget item, go to step 5.

4. Connect the material to both an acquisition activity and budget item or connect the material to only a budget item (that is already connected to an acquisition activity). In this way, the amount for budget items in the quotation costing is updated.

5. Press Enter to return to (POS111).
