Define Settings for Register and Maintain a Product Structure
This document explains how you define how material and operations will be connected to a product structure.
Outcome
You have defined:
- The start panel, date format and panel sequence
 - Which items that should be displayed
 - How the configurator should work
 - When the material list should be updated.

The panels are adjusted to the company’s routines for product structures. To register and support a product structure is facilitated by some general parameters that are defined by default.
Your settings will be saved and will be valid until you changed them.

|---|---|---|
| (PDS001/P) | Display product variants |
… whether existing product variants should be displayed in (PDS001). The setting is only used in (PDS001). Variant products are items that have code = Stocked variants (3) in the item master. The product structure for a product variant is always retrieved from the main structure (the product which the product variant is created from). The product structure of a stocked variant may not be maintained separately. |
