Connect Attribute Model to Item

This document explains how you connect an attribute model to one or several items.

Outcome

The item is set to be attribute managed and can be used in attribute control.

Attribute handling will start to work when the item is set to be attribute managed. You are then able to use attributes when handling orders, warehouses, sales and purchase prices, etc.

The item master file (MITMAS) is updated.

Before you start

The attribute model that should be connected to the item and its corresponding attributes must have been created. See the instructions Create Attributes to Describe Items and Create Attribute Model.

Follow These Steps

  1. Start 'Item. Open' (MMS001/B).

  2. Select the item to which you want to connect the attribute model and select Open.

  3. On the G panel, set the 'Attribute managed' field to 1 or 2.

  4. Specify the attribute model that should be connected to the item in the 'Attribute model' field.

Parameters to Set

Program ID/Panel Field The field indicates …
(MMS001/G) Attribute Managed

…whether the item is processed using Attribute Control.

The valid alternatives are:

0 = No

1 = Yes, the attribute panel is displayed automatically

2 = Yes, the attribute panel is always displayed for receipt to stock. The panel is displayed for order entry only when an attribute value is incorrect.

Attribute model …the ID of an attribute model. Attribute models are connected to items and used to set the attributes that can be connected to the item.
