Register Work Instruction
The purpose of the procedure is to register a work instruction.
Before you start
Before you begin, the following prerequisites must be met:
- The work center the operation element will be connected to must be registered in 'Work Center. Open' (PDS010).
- If registering a tool, it must be registered in 'Item. Open' (MMS001).
- If registering a document, it must be registered in 'Document. Open' (CRS230).
- If registering an inspection, it must be registered in 'Quality Inspection. Open' (PDS040).
Follow these steps
Follow the steps below to add a operation element to a work center.

Start 'Work Center. Open' (PDS010).

Mark the work center to which the operation element is to be connected. Select Work Instruc (option 14).
Result: 'Operation Element. Open' (PDS025) is displayed.

To register a work element, go to step 4.To register a work element - descriptive, go to step 5.
To register a tool, document or inspection, go to step 6.

Enter the task element no., operation element type and operation element ID. In panel E, complete the data.
Note: The set up and run times will be added to the total times for the work center.Go to step 7.

Enter the task element no., operation element type and operation element ID. In panel E, complete the data.

Enter the task element no., operation element type and operation element ID (tool, document or inspection ID). In panel E, complete the data.
Go to step 7.

The work instruction has now been added.
