Queue and Transit Times
This supporting function is used to enter and maintain queue and transit times. These are used when calculating lead times for manufactured products. Positive values for queue and transit times increase lead time and negative values reduce it. A negative queue and transit time indicates overlapping of operations.
Outcome
This supporting function results in having queue and transit times entered for further processing, such as for calculating product lead times.

Maintain Parameters for Queue and Transit Times
Parameters for queue and transit times are maintained in program Work with Queue and Transit Times (PDS020). This is called from the menu or from program Work with Work Centers (PDS010) using option 13 = Queue times. For more information, refer to Maintain Parameters for Queue and Transit Times.

Alternatives for Queue and Transit Times
The table below describes the alternatives possible for queue and transit times, that is, how they can be entered and their placement in relation to operations.
- From - Work Center refers to the work center in which an operation has been performed.
- To - Work Center refers to the work center where the next operation is to be performed.
- Queue and transit time is the time which must be planned to account for the period from when an operation performed in From - Work Center is ended and operations in To - Work Center are started.
