Recalculate a Selection of Activities in Time and Attendance

This document explains how you recalculate a selection of activities that have been adjusted in 'Time Activity. Report' (TMS260). These are recalculated in 'Calculated Time. Generate for Activity' (TMS405).

Outcome

A selection of activities that were adjusted in 'Time Activity. Report' (TMS260) is recalculated and can be reviewed in 'Time Activity. Report' (TMS260).

The MTMPRD and MTMPRE files are updated.

Calculated activity times can be reviewed to get a more representative picture of your time records.

Before you start

The starting conditions listed in Recalculating Activities in Time and Attendance must be met.

Follow These Steps

  1. Start 'Calculated Time. Generate for Activity' (TMS405).

    The E panel is displayed.

  2. Enter the from and to values for the employees, activities, departments and planning areas that you want to include in the selection. (Optional fields).

  3. Enter the from and to values for the start dates (required fields).

These two values indicate between which dates the activities must have started to be included in the calculation.

  4. Enter the to date.

Note: This field is only used for calculating closed records. Do not enter a to date if you wish to include open records in the calculation.
  5. Enter the to time (optional).

This field indicates the time to which the activities must have taken place to be included in the calculation.

  6. Select whether you want open records to be included in the calculation. Press Enter.

Open records are those that have been started but not ended. This means that the time for the activity is calculated according to your clock ins/outs. For example, assume the following: The employee's clock ins/outs are for 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for three consecutive days. An activity is clocked in at 8 a.m. on the first day, and clocked out at 5 p.m. on the last day. The activity time amounts to 24 hours (taking into account a 1 hour lunch break for each day).

You can review the results in 'Time Activity. Report' (TMS260).
