Transition Quality Module from Laboratory Inspection and Control (LIC) to Quality Management System (QMS)
This document explains how to change your quality module from LIC to QMS, as well as the impact.
When you transition to QMS, the data entered in LIS is available for completion of the quality inspection process and to print the Certificate of Analysis. Data conversion is not performed, but it is recommended that quality test data is prepared for proper setup in QMS.
Before you start
Each lot should not have an 'Under Inspection' status at the point of transition from LIC to QMS. Instead, it is highly recommended to have all lots in an 'Approved' or 'Rejected' status in the LIC system before moving to QMS.
Outcome
Any future quality inspection process is to be handled by the Quality Management System (QMS). The system retains the ability to view quality-related information for items/lots that were maintained in Laboratory and Inspection Control (LIC).
The QMS setup conditions are outlined in Managing Quality Control.
Follow these steps
Define the Quality module as QMS
-
Start 'Company. Connect Division' (MNS100).
-
On the K panel, if the '407 Quality Management' field is defined as 'Laboratory and inspection system', update the field selection to 'Quality management system'.
-
Save your changes.
