Quality Plan for Item and Warehouse

This document describes the use of a quality plan which is specific to an item connected to a particular warehouse. The quality plan establishes the rules used to execute quality control.

This type of quality plan has settings that support distribution order (DO) processing as well as the reinspection logic in the Quality Management System (QMS).

Outcome

The 'Quality Plan Item Warehouse. Open' (QMS015) program allows for a quality plan to be created and maintained for a particular item and warehouse combination. It affects the QMS-related processing of distribution orders associated with the item connected to a warehouse and also the reinspection of the item at this particular location.

Before you start

  • An overarching quality plan must be created through 'Quality Plan. Open' (QMS009).

  • One or more quality reinspection plans must be established on 'Quality Reinspection Plan. Open' (QMS014), as described in the document Quality Reinspection Plan.

Follow these steps

  1. Start 'Quality Plan Item Warehouse. Open' (QMS015).

  2. On the B panel, specify a Quality plan, Item number, and Warehouse.

  3. Select Create.

  4. Click Next.

  5. On the E panel, specify values for any of these fields:

    • Reinspection ID - Specify or browse for the desired quality reinspection plan.
    • DO test at receiving - Select the check box if you want a Quality Inspection (QI) request for a DO to be created automatically when a DO is received.
    • DO copy test results - Select the check box to have the test results from the shipping warehouse copied automatically when a DO is received.

  6. Click Next to save your changes.

MI transactions

The Quality Plan for the Item/Warehouse includes these transactions:

  • AddItemWhQPlan - Adds a new quality plan for an item at a warehouse in the Item Warehouse Quality Plan (QMSQPW) table using the standard function program QMS015Fnc.
  • UpdItemWhQPlan - Sends updates to the settings in the Item Warehouse Quality Plan (QMSQPW) table.
  • DltItemWhQPlan - Deletes the entire quality plan from the Item Warehouse Quality Plan (QMSQPW) table.
  • GetItemWhQPlan - Retrieves details of the quality plan from the Item Warehouse Quality Plan (QMSQPW) table.
  • LstItemWhQPlan - Lists the settings defined in the quality plan(s) in the Item Warehouse Quality Plan (QMSQPW) table.
