Planning Area

Planning areas (CRS085) define the middle level of the work center structure. Departments are above and work centers are below planning areas. Planning areas are linked to work centers in PDS010.

Description

Planning areas are used as selection criteria in the work management elements of M3 Maintenance. For example, work orders and work load can be viewed by planning area.

In Maintenance, planning areas may include MECH (Mechanical trades), ELEC (Electrical trades), and so on.
