Configuring Time and Attendance and Manufacturing Order Processing

This document explains how you define the basic data that must exist in order for Time and Attendance and Manufacturing Order Processing to function.

Outcome

Time and Attendance/Manufacturing Order Processing has been configured, that is, settings have been made that correspond to your company's policies.

For more information on the outcome of this process, see related documents listed in the See also section.

  • Once configured, Time and Attendance/Manufacturing Order Processing programs can be started and actively used by the users you have given authorization.
  • Employees can use (TMS001) to manually report times.
  • Employees can in certain programs, select values in fields from existing lists containing the valid values.
  • The calculation methods you have entered in 'Settings – Time and Attendance (TMS950) determine how times are calculated in cooperation with the existing time rules, the employee's schedule, the employee group to which he/she belongs as well as the employee's clocked times.

For more information on the uses, see related documents listed in the See also section.

Define the appearance of the (TMS001) panel as well as the functions that are to be accessible to employees when reporting times manually in (TMS001).

Also enter the fields for which employees can select predefined values from an existing list.

Use 'Settings – Manual Reporting' (TMS955) for this purpose.

  3. Define User and User authorization

Define users and their authorization (such as authorization to approve and/or change calculated times).

Use 'User. Connect Authority' (CRS545) for this purpose.

  4. Create ID for Alternative Accounting for Clocked Transactions

Create IDs in 'Reference Number for Accounting Dimension 2. Open' (TMS130) and connect them to cost centers.
