Define Basic Schedule for Time and Attendance
This document explains how you create basic schedules, which are then used as templates when creating work schedules. Basic schedules normally contain information about days off from work (for example, Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays and any company holidays).
Outcome
A basic schedule containing days off for the specified period is created and can be reviewed in 'Work Schedule. Open' (CRS515).
The following files are updated:
- Work schedules (PAIWSC)
- Work schedule periodicity (PAYWSS).
Basic schedules are used as templates for creating work schedules in 'Work Schedule. Open' (CRS515).
Before you start
- The starting conditions listed in Defining Schedules for Time and Attendance must be met.
- Work hours must be defined in 'Work Hour Definition. Open' (CRS505).
- You must know which days of the year are not workdays.
Follow These Steps

Start 'Work Schedule. Open' (CRS515).

On the B panel, set the panel sequence.
This instruction is based on panel sequence E1FG.

Enter the year for which the basic schedule is to be valid and a work schedule number. Select the Create option.
The work schedule number can consist of eight characters.

On the E panel, enter the name (required) and a description of the basic schedule.

Specify that this is a basic schedule by checking the 'Basic schedule' field.

Enter 7 days as the period length in the 'Interval – number of days' field. Press Enter.
'Work Schedule. Open Intervals' (CRS516/B) is called.

To define intervals, enter the number of the week in the schedule string. Select the Create option.

Select the work hour definitions for Saturday and Sunday. Press Enter.
Generally, 0 work hours are defined for Saturdays and Sundays.

On the B panel, press Finish.
'Work Schedule. Open' (CRS515/F) is displayed.

On the panel (CRS515/F), enter the date on which you want this schedule to be created and the last date to be covered by the schedule.

Enter the date from which you want week one to start. Press Enter to generate the schedule.

On the G panel, specify the days that are not workdays besides Saturdays and Sundays, month by month. Press Enter.
Generally, 0 work hours are defined for non-workdays.
