External Setup Time
External setup time is used to estimate the amount of time required to prepare for an operation while the machine is still in normal production.
Description
External setup time is used on services, planned work orders, and work orders. You must ensure that time is not duplicated. Setup time is included both in this field and in the run time field.
The field is not included in estimates, loads, and lead times.
External setup time should be specified in the same unit as the work center, which for Maintenance will either be hours (down to two decimal places) or minutes (down to two decimal places). Therefore, using hours and partial hours, a task requiring 90 minutes should be specified as 1.5 and NOT 1.3 (hours and minutes).
