Defining Basic Data for Operational Start and Stop
This document explains how you make it easier to start and stop operations by defining basic data. Entry of basic data is best done in the order that is described in this document.
Outcome
You have defined or changed data regarding one or several of the following:
- When the work hour starts and ends, and when possible breakdowns occur
- The list of all users that enter, change and approve operations
- Which days are workdays, weekends, summer time, etc. during a period
- Access for a user with card number, work hours, etc.
- A work group
- Elements that affect the reporting of operations.
The settings are stored until you change them.
Defined basic data are a prerequisite to registering operational start and stop.
Before you start
You must have current information about work hours, users and work schedules.
Follow These Steps
-
Work Hour Definition
Work hour definition is used to specify when work hours start and end, time for breaks, etc. Work hour definitions are specified in 'Work Hour Definition. Open' (CRS505) and are used, for example, in work schedules and calendars. For more information, For more information, refer to Defining Schedules for Time and Attendance and Define Work Hours for Time and Attendance and Manufacturing Order Processing.
-
Authorization
People with the following accesses must be specified in 'User. Connect Authority' (CRS545):
- All the people that are authorized to report start and stop of operations.
- All the people that are authorized to change and approve reported transactions.
For more information, refer to Configuring Time and Attendance and Manufacturing Order Processing and Define User and User Authorization in Time and Attendance and Manufacturing Order Processing
-
Work Schedule
A general work schedule is created in 'Work Schedule. Open' (CRS515). The program specifies the work hour definition that daily applies during a certain period, such as a year. The work schedule is used as a template to create a calendar for each person that is reported. Work schedules are created with panel sequence E12FG.
-
Panel E —'Work Schedule. Open' (CRS515)
The following are displayed on the E panel:
- Whether a basic schedule will be used as a template
- The period that the work schedule will be repeated (in multiples of 7 days)
- The start/finish date for a possible summer time schedule.
A basic schedule is a work schedule that, for example, exclusively consists of no workdays. If a basic schedule is used, it overrides the work schedule. You define basic schedules in 'Work Schedule. Open' (CRS515).
Panel 1 - 'Work Schedule. Enter Weekdays' (CRS516) Panel 1 specifies the work hour definition that will apply. The work hour definition is specified for the period that was specified on the E panel. For example, a work hour definition of 7 days is specified for a period of 7 days. Panel 2 - 'Work Schedule. Enter Repl Work Hours' (CRS517) You can define deviations here if work hours differ during a period of the year, such as shorter working time during the summer. Work hour definitions in the work schedule are replaced by the schedule that is specified in the summer time schedule when you generate a new work schedule. -
Panel F - 'Work Schedule. Open' (CRS515)
The F panel specifies from and to which date a work schedule is generated and the date of the first Monday of the year, such as 2002-01-07. A work schedule is generated when you finish the F panel. A work schedule will not be generated if you not specify from which date the work schedule should be generated.
-
Panel G –'Work Schedule. Open' (CRS515)
You can check and change generated calendars on the G panel.
For more information, refer to Define Basic Schedule for Time and Attendance and Define Work Schedule for Time and Attendance and Manufacturing Order Processing
-
Panel E —'Work Schedule. Open' (CRS515)
-
People
The people that report operations must be specified on the E panel in 'Person. Open' (CRS530). For each person, you specify, for example, which card number will be used for reporting, which calendar the person has, and from which date the calendar applies. If a person will change calendars on a specific date, you specify the new work schedule from that date. The person's calendar then consists of the old calendar to the specified date and the new calendar from the specified date.
For more information, refer to Define Employee Information in Time and Attendance and Defining Employees and First-time Calendars in Time and Attendance.
-
Calendar per Person
You change an employee's calendar in 'Employee. Connect Calendar' (CRS510).
For more information, refer to Adjust Employee Calendars in Time and Attendance
-
Work Group
If the work is carried out by a work group, can you define the work group in 'Work Group. Open' (CRS531).
-
Parameters—Performing Operation
A number of elements that control how operation work is performed are defined in 'Settings - Operation Reporting' (PMS490).
For more information, refer to Define Basic Settings for MO Reporting
