LI Specification
An LI specification identifies all tests conducted on an item. The tests refer to inspection of the characteristics required for an item to be approved or rejected for release or use. The characteristics required are specified as either a numerical range value or textual range value in separate fields in the appropriate panel.
The LI specification is used to define an LI request when it is created. Different LI specifications can be created for an item to identify different characteristics to be inspected. This can be done during different events, such as during procurement or repeat testing.
An LI specification serves as a requirements profile for an item, since the item is identified and quality assured through the description of its characteristics.
