Request Estimate against Work Request
The document explains how you request an estimate against a work request.
Use this document:
- When you have a work request in (MOS170) and want to indicate to customer support that an estimate is required
- If you work with customer support and want to indicate to the people in the workshop that the customer wants the job to be estimated.
Outcome
- The service price method on the maintenance customer order line is set to 9 (quotation).
- The status of the work request is set to Q0 (Estimate needed).
- The estimation work can start.
The following tables are affected:
- Planning proposal (MWOPLP)
- MCO header (ACUORH).
Before you start
- The starting conditions listed in Estimating and Quoting against Work Request must be met.
- A maintenance customer order with one line must exist in (COS100).
Follow These Steps
Request Estimation form MCO line

Start 'Maintenance Customer Orders. Open Line' (COS101/B).
You reach this panel by highlighting the maintenance CO in (COS100) and selecting option 'MCO Lines'.

Highlight the MCO line and select Change to display the E panel.

Select service price method 9=Quotation.

Press Enter to finish.
Request Estimate from Work Request

Start 'Work Request. Open' (MOS170/B).

Select sorting order 13 to display work requests that are connected to maintenance customer orders.

Highlight the work request and select option 'Estimate required'.
Request Estimate from Work Request Operation

Highlight the work request in 'Work Request. Open' (MOS170/B) and select option 'Materials and operations' to display 'Work Request. Open Line' (MOS171).

Highlight the operation and select option 'Estimate required'.
