Release Work Requests Manually by Selection Query

This instruction describes how to run a query to identify work requests to be released. It also describes how to release the work requests that were identified in the query.

Use this instruction when you want to release all or some of the work requests that share some features, such as those containing the same service, belonging to the same facility or belonging to the same equipment.

Outcome

The selection query has identified all relevant work requests. Some or all of these are released and converted to work orders in 'Work Order. Open' (MOS100).

The work order is stored in the following files:

  • Work order header (MMOHED)
  • Work order operations (MMOOPE).

The work order can be used for further planning or reporting of performed work.

Before you start

  • The starting conditions listed in Releasing Work Requests must be met.
  • A selection query must be defined using F17 in 'Work Request. Open' (MOS170) if selection is to be performed on work requests.

Follow These Steps
