Transfer Service Revision to Production

This document explains how you transfer a service revision to the production environment.

Use this instruction when you have performed and approved all modifications within a service.

Outcome

  • The service revision is transferred to the production environment and no further changes can be made to the current revision.
  • The service revision status is raised to 21 or 31, which indicates that the revision is transferred.
  • If continuous net change is used, all planned work orders in (MOS170) will be updated with the new requirements.
  • The (ECCRTSRV) program updates these tables with the service revision information:
    • (MMO318) work file if maintenance limits are changed
    • Services (MPDSCF)
    • Service facility (MPDSRC)
    • Service effectivity (MOMPGM)
    • Related services (MOMPGR)
    • MRS effectivity (MOMPGE)
    • Maintenance limits (MOMPGL)
    • Certified services (MOCESE)
    • Document reference (MODORE)
    • Service requirements (MOSCRQ)
    • Service on materials and operations (MPDSRF)
    • Product database operations (MPDOPE)
    • Product database materials (MPDMAT)
    • Routing operation activity description (MPDOPS).

Service costing can be created for the new service revision in 'Product Costing. Calculate Service' (PCS235/E).

New work orders that use the service revision can be generated in these ways:

  • Manually in 'Work Order. Enter' (MOS001)
  • Manually in 'Work Request. Open' (MOS170)
  • Manually in 'Work Request. Quick Entry' (MOS185)
  • From a maintenance customer order in 'Maint CO. Open' (COS100)
  • From a complaint in 'Complaint. Open' (MOS500)
  • From an engineering order in 'Eng Order. Open' (MOS200)
  • Automatically when meter readings exceed certain limits in 'Equipment. Report Meter Reading' (MOS160).

Before you start

The service revision must be fully defined and approved in 'Service Revision. Open' (ECS300).

Follow these steps

  1. Start 'Service Revision. Open' (ECS300/B).

  2. Highlight the service revision to transfer to production and select option 9=Transfer to production.
