Retrieve Affected Serial Number
This document explains how you retrieve the serial numbers of all items that are affected by the engineering order (EO) revision.
Use this instruction to view serial numbers of the affected components in the EO program (ECS220). The list provides information about the location of the components and indicates whether the modification has been performed.
Outcome
Each item in the master file matching the EO document effectivity is proposed for modification. Information about the EO program is stored in 'Engineering order program (MOOPGM)'.
The planned work order can converted into a work order. This allows work to begin.
Before you start
- The starting conditions listed in Managing Engineering Order Revisions must be met.
- You have defined an EO header and an EO line.
Follow These Steps
-
Start 'Engineering Order. Open' (ECS200/B).
-
Select an appropriate sorting order to identify the correct engineering order.
The recommended alternatives are 1='EO number', 6=Responsible.
-
Select the appropriate engineering order and select option 19='Retrieve Affected Serial Numbers' to display 'Mod Control. Retrieve Affected S/N' (ECS910/E).
-
Specify planned start date on the E panel and press Enter to finish.
The system retrieves the affected items according to the defined document effectivity (CRS257), valid facilities (ECS205), and existing serial numbers in the system (MMS240).
