Close Work Order - Return to Service
The purpose of this procedure is to close a work order, return the maintenance object back to service and install the object in a complex component or aircraft.
Before You Start
Before you begin, the following prerequisites must be met:
- All operations and material lines must be reported for the work order (status 90). This applies when parameter 18 in 'Settings - Maintenance 1' (CRS788) is set to 2.
- The service(s) included in the work order must be approved (status 70).
- The work order type should be defined with configuration management activated. This is done via parameter 150 in 'Work Order Type. Open' (MOS120).
Follow These Steps
-
Start 'Work Order. Open' (MOS100/B).
-
Highlight the work order to be closed and select option 14='Close WO' to display 'Work Order. Close' (MOS050/E).
-
If the Warehouse and Location fields are specified, clear them.
-
Confirm the entries by pressing Enter. A check is made to ensure that the object may be installed in the specified configuration position. 'As-Built Structure. Update Removal/Inst' (MOS125) is displayed.
-
The work order status is then updated to (status 90) and a stock transaction is created, which moves the object from the shop floor to the aircraft or complex component. This can be confirmed in 'As-Built Structure. Display' (MOS253) and 'As-Built Structure. Display Indented' (MOS252).
