Release to Production

This document explains how you release an approved engineering order (EO) revision to production.

Outcome

  • The status of the EO revision in ECS200 is raised to 21 (Definite and transferred to (MOS200)).
  • The old EO in ECS200 is deactivated and the status is changed to 29.
  • The status of the corresponding service definition in ECS300 is raised to 21 (Definite and transferred to (MOS300)) or 31 (Definite, mandatory service, and transferred to (MOS300)).
  • New work requests are created in MOS170 according to the service definition connected to the new revision. Work requests for the old engineering order are deleted from (MOS170).
  • The EO revision is copied to 'Engineering Order. Open' (MOS200).
  • The (ECCRTSRV) program updates the following tables with the service revision information:
    • (MMO318) work file if maintenance limits are changed
    • Services (MPDSCF)
    • Service facility (MPDSRC)
    • Service effectivity (MOMPGM)
    • Related services (MOMPGR)
    • MRS effectivity (MOMPGE)
    • Maintenance limits (MOMPGL)
    • Certified services (MOCESE)
    • Document reference (MODORE)
    • Service requirements (MOSCRQ)
    • Service on materials and operations (MPDSRF)
    • Product database operations (MPDOPE)
    • Product database materials (MPDMAT)
    • Routing operation activity description (MPDOPS)
  • Engineering order data is stored in the following tables:
    • Document (MPDDOC)
    • Engineering order activity list (MODACT)
    • EO line (MOLINE)
    • Item number change (MOCHPN)
    • Engineering order program (MOOPGM)
    • Work request header (MWOPLP)
    • Work request operations (MMPOPE)
    • Schedule master (MSCHMA).

As a result. you can plan and prepare the work requests along with all existing work requests.

Before you start

  • The status of the engineering order in ECS200 must be 20 (Approved).
  • The status of the corresponding service definition in ECS300 must be 20 (Definite) or 30 (Definite and mandatory).

Follow These Steps

  1. Start 'Engineering Order. Open' (ECS200/B).

  2. Select an appropriate sorting order to identify the correct engineering order.

The recommended alternatives are 1=EO number, 6=Responsible.

  3. Select the appropriate engineering order and select option 9='Transfer to production' in ECS200/B.
