Define Error Code 1
This document explains how you define error code 1 in the system.
Outcome
The error code is defined along with a default service that will be used together with the error code. The system table (CSYTAB) is updated.
Error codes are used when creating diagnostics and when work order operations are reported.
Before you start
- No starting conditions exist.
- If a service is to be connected to the error code, the service must be defined in 'Service. Open' (MOS300).
Follow These Steps
-
Start 'Error Code 1. Open' (MOS572/B).
-
Enter an identity of the error code. Select New to display the E panel.
-
Enter a description of the code, and a name (optional).
The description will be copied to the name if left blank.
-
Enter a product no/equipment no, a structure type and a service.
The service that is entered here will be used in certain situations when the error code is used, for example in 'Work Request. Quick Entry' (MOS185).
-
Enter a warranty class (optional).
This field is used for information.
-
Specify how removals should be considered (optional).
This is used for statistics in 'Maintenance Statistics. Display per Configuration Position' (MCS420).
The valid alternatives are:
0 = Not considered as removal for reliability statistics
1 = Scheduled removal
2 = Unscheduled removal
-
Press Enter to save.
