Delete Position
This procedure should be used when deleting a position record.
The result will be the full removal of a position record including any links to documents, technical specifications, and such.
Before you start
Appropriate access rights to delete must be available for 'Model/Site Edition. Open List' (MOS435), 'Model/Site. Open Config Structure' (MOS445) and 'Model/Site. Connect Position' (MOS440).
Follow these steps
Delete position records

The alternative structure reference must be deleted from 'Model/Site. Open Config Structure' (MOS445).

The site edition record must be deleted from 'Model/Site Edition. Open List' (MOS435).

The position record can then be removed from 'Model/Site. Connect Position' (MOS440).
Follow the steps below to delete positions.
Delete the alternative structure record in (MOS445)

From 'Model/Site. Connect Position' (MOS440), highlight the position to be deleted and select option 11='Alternative Structures' to display (MOS445).

The position to be deleted should be at the top of the screen. If not, check that the correct site and structure type have been selected. If the position is still not displayed, it does not exist and you can continue to the next section. Note: the position must be deleted from ALL structure types.

Highlight the position and select delete. Press Enter. You will be asked to confirm the deletion. Press Enter to confirm or F12 to abort.
Delete the site edition record in (MOS435)

From 'Model/Site. Connect Position' (MOS440), highlight the position to be deleted and select option 14='Model/Site Edition Lst' to display (MOS435).

The position to be deleted should be at the top of the screen. If not, check that the correct site and site edition have been selected. If the position is still not displayed, it does not exist and you can continue to the next section.

Highlight the position and select delete. Press Enter. You will be asked to confirm the deletion. Press Enter to confirm or F12 to abort.
Delete the position record in (MOS440)

Highlight the position and select the Delete option.

Press Enter. You will be asked to confirm the deletion. Press Enter to confirm or F12 to abort.
- If the error message Position exists in structure is displayed, go back to the section, Delete position records, and repeat for all structure types. (The position may have been created in a number of different structure types.)
- If the error message Position exists in site edition is displayed, go to the section, Delete the site edition record in (MOS435), and repeat the steps.
