Update Operation Plan

This procedure should be used when creating or changing an operation plan against a planning position or equipment.

Note: Operation plans should only be assigned to planning positions.

The result will be a valid operation plan.

Before you start

Before the procedure can begin, these prerequisites must be met:

  • A planning position must be defined in 'Model/Site. Connect Position' (MOS440) and this must have meters against it.
  • If the operation plans are to be used on equipment below the planning position then the meters must be defined against the equipment's item record in 'Item. Open' (MMS001) panel J.
  • A valid distribution curve must be defined in 'Distribution Curve. Open' (FCS310).

Follow these steps

Set up operation plans against planning positions

  1. Select MOS380 and be sure the Display Site Individual flag is selected in the parameters panel if the plan is being created against a planning position.

  2. Select sorting order 1.

  3. To maintain versions of the operation plan, use the Op Plan Vers field.

Note:  Only the blank operation plan is used by M3. All other versions are for reference only.
  4. Enter the site and the planning position if the operation plan is by position.

  5. Enter the item/equipment and serial number if the operation plan is by equipment (the parameters must be set to allow this).

  6. Enter the appropriate meter values against each period.

Note: It is not possible to enter values against calendar-based meters, as these are determined automatically. Only values for future periods can be added or changed.

    Press Enter to save.

Enter a total estimated value, allowing the value to be apportioned across multiple periods

  1. Select Distr Forecast or Press F14.

  2. Enter a valid Distribution Curve and a valid meter that is linked to the position or equipment.

  3. Enter the total forecast hours in Total F/C.

  4. The first period to receive the distributed hours must be entered in Fr Period.

  5. Enter the number of periods that the total forecast hours should be spread across.

  6. Press Enter to calculate the forecast.
