Equipment Structure Header
The equipment structure header (PDS001) links components to equipment. This status defines whether the spare linked to the equipment can be used on work orders, service definitions and such.
Description
If a single list of parts is required under the equipment, only one product structure needs to be created. This can be given the same code as the equipment number.
If multiple levels of parts are required representing different areas of the machine, multiple headers need to be defined. In this case a header code will be created for the equipment and then a header code for each level. The header code could be the equipment number followed by a short description, for example:
A1-01-01(for the main machine) A1-01-01 DRIVE A1-01-01 MIXER
