Define Complaint Alert Levels

This document explains how you define the alert levels that determine when an alarm should be triggered for a component or one of its positions.

Outcome

You decided which objects to follow up on, and also specific areas within these objects. You decided how many complaints are acceptable during a given time. This information is stored in the Alert levels for repetitive complaints (ADALVL) file.

The complaint levels are used when you run 'Complaint Alarm. Update' (MOS555).

Before you start

The object against which alert levels are to be defined must exist in 'Component. Open' (MOS480).

Follow These Steps

  1. Start 'Complaint Alert Level. Open' (MOS550/B).

  2. Select a component for which to define alert levels.

  3. Select a configuration position and select New to display the E panel.

Any existing configuration can be selected. When you browse in different positions, you will be able to select from the different position levels.

  4. Specify the number of days during which a given number of complaints may not be exceeded.

  5. Specify the maximum number of complaints that may be registered during the time period specified in step 4. Press Enter to finish.

  6. Repeat steps 3 to 5 until you have defined all applicable alert levels.
