Create a site
This document explains how you create a new site into which you can install the equipment you use in your production.
Use this instruction when you define your first production site or when you want to add new sites for your production.
Outcome
A new site is defined in the system.
Information about the site is stored in these files:
- Items (MITMAS)
- Related items (MITHAZ)
- Model (MCFMOD).
Once the site is created, you can define installation positions that represent the different locations in the site. You can then install the equipment that is to be maintained under these positions.
Before you start
There are no special starting conditions for this activity.
Follow these steps
-
Start 'Settings - Maintenance 1' (CRS788).
-
Press Enter twice to display the 31-'Default model individual for plant maintenance' parameter.
-
Specify the name of the new site and press Enter twice to create the new site.
When you press Enter the first time, a message that no model individual exists is displayed. When you press Enter again, the model individual is created along with a record in 'Item. Open' (MMS001).
If you need to create more than one site, you can follow these steps:
- Start 'Site. Create' (MOS268).
- Specify the facility the site belongs to and the required information.
- Click Next to create.
