Generate Engineering Order Program and Confirm Engineering Order

This document explains how you generate an engineering order (EO) program to identify the items that should be covered by the modification. The document also explains how planned work orders are created for the items that are found.

Use this instruction when you have defined an engineering order and an engineering order line.

Outcome

Each of the items in the master file matching the EO document effectivity is proposed for modification. A planned work order is created for these when a record is confirmed.

Information about the EO program is stored in the Engineering order program (MOOPGM) file.

The planned work order may be converted into a work order. This allows work to begin.

Before you start

The starting conditions listed in Defining Engineering Order Program must be met.

Follow These Steps

  1. Start 'Engineering Order. Open' (MOS200/B).

  2. Select an appropriate sorting order to identify the correct engineering order.

The recommended alternatives are: 1='Engineering order number', 6=Responsible.

  3. Select the EO for which you wish to generate an EO program and select option 19='Retreive Affected Serial Numbers' to display 'Engineering Order. Retrieve Affected S/N' (MOS910/E).

  4. On panel E, specify a planned start date for the work on the modifications. Press Enter to start the job.

The system now retrieves the items that are covered by the modification.

Confirm Engineering Order Program

  1. Start 'Engineering Order. Open' (MOS200/B).

  2. Select an appropriate sorting order to identify the correct engineering order.

The recommended alternatives are: 1='Engineering order number', 6=Responsible.

  3. Select the appropriate EO and select option 20='Affected Serial Numbers' to display 'Engineering Order. Update Affected Serial No' (MOS220/B).

A list with all items affected by the modification is displayed. Each record has either status 05 or 10 which indicates that it is preliminary and that no planned work order has yet been created.

  4. Select the records for which you want to create a planned work order and select option 11=Confirm.

A planned work order is created and may be viewed and converted into a regular work order in 'Work Request. Open' (MOS170).
