Print Work Order Documents as Separate Documents

This instruction explains how to select and print work order documents from 'Work Order. Print Separate Documents' (MOS150).

The instruction contains descriptions of how to select work orders either by entering the work order number, or by performing a more extensive selection, which can be useful for handling larger numbers of work orders.

Use this instruction when you need to print out work order documentation.

Outcome

The default work order documents are printed.

Orders of order category type 10='Autoreport order', as defined in 'Work Order Type. Open' (MOS120), will be closed automatically when the documents have been printed.

The printed documents will help your employees in their respective functions.

Before you start

The work order operation should exist in 'Work Order. Open' (MOS100) and 'Work Order. Open Line' (MOS101).

Follow These Steps

  1. Start 'Work Order. Print Separate Documents' (MOS150/B) and continue with one of the following alternatives.

  2. Select work orders by work order number

Enter the work order number and select New to add the work order to the print list.

More work orders may be added to the list of work orders to be printed.

If only the work order number is selected, all operations within the work order will be printed. If the operation number is also specified, only the operation will be printed.

  3. Select work orders by selection query

Press F17 in the (MOS150) B panel and fill in the selection criteria.

This method is useful for larger amounts of work orders. Additional work orders may be added manually.

  4. On the E panel, specify the number of documents of each sort to be printed, if required.

The following documents may be selected:

    • Put-away cards – documents for equipment that has been overhauled and will be put into storage again
    • Material requirements – list of the material requirements for an operation, which can be useful for stores picking lists
    • Labor tickets – the main work order document
    • Shop traveler card – list of the operations and materials in summary format
    • Routing cards – printout of work order inspections (visual, lubrication, etc.)
    • Permit documents – Printout of permit documents (lockouts, safety information, etc.).
  5. Press Finish/F3 to print.

Work orders can be removed from the selection by deletion. This will stop them from being printed, but does not physically delete the orders.
