Scrap Maintenance Object

The purpose of the procedure is to scrap a maintenance object and close a work order.

Before You Start

Before you can scrap the maintenance object and close the work order, any material that has been issued should be returned to stock and open operations should be closed.

Follow These Steps

  1. Select 'Work Order. Open' (MOS100).

  2. Highlight the work order that contains the object to be scrapped and select option 14='Close WO' to display 'Work Order. Close' (MOS050/E) .

  3. Specify alternative 1 or 2 in the Scrap field. Refer to the help text for information about the alternatives.

    If alternative 1 is specified, fill in the warehouse and location where the object will be placed.

  4. Clear the contents of the 'Next item no.', 'Next S/n' and 'Configuration position' fields.

  5. Confirm the entry. If scrap alternative 1 is selected, the object is placed in the specified warehouse and location.

    If alternative 2 is specified, the on-hand balance of the object is reduced.
