Create Removal/Installation Transaction Types

This procedure should be used when creating a new removal/installation transaction type in (MOS123).

Removal/installation transaction types are mandatory when setting up the maintenance parameters in (CRS788) and are used when installing, removing or moving equipment in (MOS125).

Before you start

A valid numbering system of type 98 with a flexible serial number must be defined in 'Number Series. Open' (CRS165).

Follow these steps

Follow the steps below to set up removal order types.

  1. Select 'Removal/Installation Trans Type. Open' (MOS123/B).

  2. Enter the order type code and press New to display the E panel.

  3. Enter a description of the code and a numbering series type 98, as defined in (CRS165).

  4. Select the R/I transaction code. This code controls the type of transaction that should be created. A number of valid options are available including:1 = Installation and removal (move)2 = Removal3 = Installation4 = Installation of an article from another unit ("robbery")5 = Swap.

  5. Define the origin of the reference number in the 'Reference Order Category' field. Note, if a reference order category is entered here, the system will force the user to always enter that type of reference on the transaction (that is, a work order number).

  6. Specify whether an exchange must be carried out. For Plant Maintenance, this is normally set to 0.

  7. The status is normally 20.

  8. The trouble shoot parameter controls the status of the equipment when the transaction is carried out. This should be selected if the equipment is still serviceable after the transaction (that is, a move transaction).

  9. The 'Configuration Management' field is not used for Plant Maintenance.

  10. A default transaction reason can be defined. This will be the default in (MOS125).

  11. If a work order request is to be automatically created when this transaction is carried out, then the flag must be selected and a valid service entered. This is the service that will be used when the request is created.

  12. Specify the maximum levels to be removed (optional). Press Enter to finish.
