Managing Agreement Contents

This document explains how agreement contents are managed when repairing equipment.

Agreement contents are a way of specifying inclusions and exclusions for labor, material, subcontracting and miscellaneous transactions on a maintenance agreement.

Outcome

When any combination of labor, material, subcontracting or miscellaneous transaction is reported a check is performed to determine if the customer or payer specified in the agreement contents should pay.

The following tables are updated during the process:

  • ACUORL - Maintenance customer order line
  • ACUORM - Maintenance customer order payer
  • ACUAGS – Agreement contents
  • ACUINV - Invoice specification

Before you start

Agreement contents must be defined in 'Agreement Contents' (COS421).

Follow these steps

  1. Establish agreement contents conditions:

    • You can define the transaction types that are included or excluded for the agreement. Transactions can be one or many of labor, material, subcontracting or miscellaneous. Line type 8 in 'Agreement Contents' (COS421) is applicable for all transactions which can override the MCO payer regardless of warranty and other contents of agreement.
    • You can define and connect agreement contents conditions to different objects such as item or model, product group and item group.
    • You can define conditions for the complete equipment or for single components within that equipment's structure.
  2. Repair equipment connected to a maintenance agreement with agreement contents:

The agreement contents and split payer functions perform the following tasks:

    • Check used material, labor, subcontracting and miscellaneous cost related to a work order.
    • Select the predefined payer according to agreement contents, creating a split payer record attached to the maintenance customer order line.

An alarm is created when you define work order requirements.

Check sequence
