Define Sorting Orders for Maintenance Statistics

This document explains how you define your own sorting orders and selection options to be used for maintenance statistics.

Outcome

Sorting orders with up to three inquiry fields per sorting order are defined. The information is stored in the Maintenance inquiry (MMCINO) file.

The sorting order is selected in 'Equipment Statistics. Display' (MCS420/P) and defaulted when you start (MCS430). This will sort and select the information according to your needs.

Before you start

No specific starting conditions exist for this activity.

Follow These Steps

  1. Start 'Sorting order - Maintenance Stats. Open' (MCS490/B).

  2. Enter an sorting order and select New to display the E panel.

  3. Enter a description.

  4. Enter 1 to 3 inquiry fields and optional field headings.

  5. Enter 1 to 3 optional sorting fields along with operators.

  6. Enter valid values in the From and To fields. Press Enter to finish.

Wild card searches can be entered in different ways.

Example: *A*B*C will search on fields that contain A, B and C in the order entered. There may however be letters between A, B and C.

*A_B_C* will search on fields with A, B and C. These must be in the order entered, but with only one letter between.
