Display Workload against Work Center
This procedure should be used when checking that sufficient resources are available for work orders.
Before you start
Before the procedure can begin, the following prerequisite must be met:
- Operations must exist in (MOS101) with work time against them
- The work centers in (PDS010) must have capacity against them.
Follow these steps
Follow the steps below to check capacity availability against load linked to work orders. From 'Work Schedule. Open Toolbox' (MOS195), highlight the work order operation and select F14=Display Load. (CPS100) will be displayed.
-
Select from sorting orders 1, 2, 3, 11, 12 and 13. Sorting order 1 is by work center, 2 is by department and 3 is by planning area, all based around a weekly view. Sorting orders 11, 12 and 13 are the same as 1, 2 and 3 respectively, but provide daily analysis.
-
Select the date from which load is to be displayed and the number of weeks that should be summarized. For example, a 2 will summarize two weeks' worth of work into one value.
-
Select the unit of measure that should be used when the load is displayed.
-
Define the type of work orders that should be included in the analysis in Select Option. These are defined in (CPS150).
-
Press option F15 to display the details of the load against the work center (CPS105) on a job-by-job basis.
-
Enter the From date; that is, when the workload can be analyzed from a particular date.
-
Select the interval to indicate how many weeks will be combined together. The normal setting would be 1 to show one week's worth of load, although this could change to 2 or 4 when looking at long-term planning. This option is only available in views 1, 2 and 3.
-
To view load, a number of different options are available in Load U/M.
