Viewing Maintenance WOs in (PMS230)

This procedure should be used to configure the system to view manufacturing and maintenance work orders together in 'Work Center Schedule. Open' (PMS230).

Prerequisites

A plant maintenance site structure has been created.

Follow these steps

Follow these steps to define how to enable the link between manufacturing and maintenance planning:

  1. In 'Equipment/Serialized Item. Open' (MMS240), create an equipment with the same name as the planning position. You may get a message saying that a position already exists, which you should ignore.
  2. In 'Work Center. Open' (PDS010), select the production work center, and use related option 14='Operation Elements' to link the dummy equipment using an element of type 2. Ensure that you specify the serial number, which is usually 1. Using this procedure you get all WOs for equipment in a production line to display in (PMS230). You can also connect individual equipment to the production work center one by one.
  3. In (PMS230), use F13='Show WO' to enable that parameter.
  4. In 'Service. Open' (MOS300), the service definitions must have the 'Shutdown' check box selected. This can be activated manually on any WO in 'Work Order. Reschedule' (MOS010) during rescheduling.

Processing

Follow these steps to process the link:

  1. Create a work order request which has the 'Shutdown' check box selected. The work order request must be for an equipment within the planning position defined earlier under Prerequisites.
  2. Release the work order request to create a work order.
  3. Use (PMS230) to specify the production work center to which the planning position has been linked.

All equipment located under the planning position with work orders that have the 'Shutdown' check box activated, are retrieved.

  4. The default rescheduling features in (PMS230) can now be used on both maintenance and manufacturing orders.
