  1. In 'Settings. Employee Allocation' (CBS020) specify facility, order type category, and work order type.

  2. Select option 'Create'.

Parameters to Set

Program ID/Panel Field The field indicates …
(CBS020/E) Empl allocation

… whether or not employee allocation is used, and also how the allocation is made. Some order types do not require employee allocation and this setting should then be set to Off.

Note: If you are not to use employee allocation at all, no data needs to be specified for any of the fields in this table.

Valid alternatives

0=Not used

1=Manual allocationManual allocation can be done in several ways, for example from the GANTT chart in 'Maintenance Scheduling Board. Open' (MOS199), or in 'Work Req Resources. Allocate Employee' (CBS171), 'Work Order Resources. Allocate Employees' (CBS101), 'Allocated Employees. Open' (CBS172) and 'Allocated Employees. Open' (CBS104).

2=Automatically when a work request of planned order is created

3=Automatically when a work order is createdIf a work order is rescheduled more than one day a new allocation is made.

(CBS020/E) Alloc Geo area … whether or not allocation by geographical area is to be used. If this check box is selected, an operation element is automatically created according to the setting for this order type. If this check box is selected, the field Geo Alloc field below must be set to a value from the drop-down list.
(CBS020/E) Geo alloc field … the field in the equipment address program 'Equipment Address. Open'(MOS272) used to create the operation element. A matching capability for the selected geographic area must then be found in 'Capability per Resource. Open'(CBS002)
(CBS020/E) Geo area length …the length of the field to be used as an ID for the geographical allocation. Make sure to set this to a higher number (max 30 characters) if you are using a Geo alloc field that contains a street address (see above).
(CBS020/E) Capab required

… if capability is mandatory. If this check box is selected, only employees with all required capabilities for the operation are considered at employee allocation.

When an employee is manually allocated, an error message is displayed if the employee does not meet all the requirements.

(CBS020/E) Capacity check … if a capacity check is to be made when employees are allocated. If the check box is selected, only employees with capacity on the selected date are allocated. When an employee is manually allocated, an error message is displayed if the selected employee does not have any capacity on the given date.
(CBS020/E) Check tot load … if a check for an employee's total load is to be made. If the check box is selected, only employees with free capacity are allocated. When an employee is manually allocated, an error message is displayed if the selected employee does not have any capacity left.
(CBS020/E) Alloc sequence

… if employees outside the planned work center should be considered for the operation.

Note: Only employees connected to the selected organizational units are considered when allocation is done. The settings are changed by pressing F17=New selection in 'Work Order Resources. Allocate Employees' (CBS101) or 'Work Req Resources. Allocate Employees' (CBS171).

Valid alternatives

0=Work center

1=Work center, planning area

2=Work center, planning area, department

3=Work center, planning area, department, facility

4=Work center, planning area, department, facility, division

(CBS020/E) Search rank 1 – 5

… that the employee with the lowest rank is displayed first in the programs 'Work Order Resources. Allocate Employees' (CBS101) or 'Work Req Resources. Allocate Employees' (CBS171). If automatic allocation is used, the employee with the lowest rank is automatically selected.

1=The field indicates the ranking for employees connected to the work center in the selection table

2=The field indicates the ranking for employees connected to the planning area in the selection table

3=The field indicates the ranking for employees connected to the department in the selection table

4=The field indicates the ranking for employees connected to the facility in the selection table

5=The field indicates the ranking for employees connected to the division in the selection table

(CBS020/E) Rank on load

… if the percentage load for an employee should be added to the ranking value 'Work Order Resources. Allocate Employees' (CBS101) or 'Work Req Resources. Allocate Employees' (CBS171). For example, if the existing load for an employee is 75 percent, the value 75 is added to the rank. By using this option, it is possible to have employees with lower loads ranked higher and thereby selected first.

Note: This setting should not be used during geographical allocation. If that is used, a level 1 – 99 is added to the ranking value to indicate the employee located nearest the equipment.

(CBS020/E) Ctp geo alloc … the capability type used to create geographical allocation. When the operation element ID is created according to the field and field length defined, the capability type on that operation element is created according to these settings.
(CBS020/E) Ctp auto alloc … the capability type used to create operation elements for automatic allocation. If no operation elements are defined for the operation and employee allocation is defined for the order type, an operation element with this capability type is automatically created during allocation.
(CBS020/E) Work element …the work element ID that will be created on the operation element for the required capability for automatic allocation.
(CBS020/E) Crt for subcon … if the operation element is created for a subcon operation when there is no operation element connected to the service or work center.
