Issue Materials Against a Work Order

This instruction explains how you issue materials.

Use this instruction when you need to issue the reserved quantity of materials for a work order.

Outcome

The reserved quantity of the material connected to the work order operation is issued. The material is ready to be used as soon as work begins.

Information about the requisition is stored in the following files:

The starting conditions listed in Issuing Tools and Materials and Handling Permits must be met.
A work order and operation must exist in 'Work Order. Open' (MOS100) and 'Work Order. Open Line' (MOS101). These must still be open.
Materials must still be correctly configured in 'Item. Open' (MMS001), 'Item. Connect Warehouse' (MMS002) and 'Item. Connect Facility' (MMS003).

Start 'Req/Distr Order. Open' (MMS100).

Select an appropriate sorting order. Type 3=Reference Order Category, Reference Order Number is useful.
Select an order and select option 11=Lines to display 'Req/Distr Order. Open Lines' (MMS101).
On the B panel, select the correct item and select option 11=Allocate.
Confirm the transaction quantity by entering the quantity.
Press Enter and then F3=Finish to create the transaction.

When the item is issued, the material line on the work order is automatically updated. If this is a new requirement, then the material line on the work order will be created. In both cases, the status should be 90. The requisition status in (MMS100) will be 99.
