Reschedule a Work Order Operation by Schedule Number
This instruction explains how to reschedule operations according to their schedule numbers. A schedule number is often a project code representing a real project, a shutdown, or some other major maintenance event.
Use this instruction when operations should be rescheduled by schedule number due to the fact that they, for whatever reason, cannot be performed on the original planned date.
Outcome
The operation is rescheduled on another date. The job can be performed on the new planned date.
Before you start
- The starting conditions listed in Starting Work Order Operations must be met.
- Work order operations must exist in 'Work Order. Open Line' (MOS101).
- Parameter 40 in 'Work Order Type. Open' (MOS120) should be set to '2'. This copies the reference order field to the schedule field when the WO request is released. The reference order number is normally used for managing large tasks, such as projects and overhaul work.
- A view must be created which sorts the order of the operations into the order in which the system should schedule them. For example, if you want them by start date, then the panel sequence must have start date as the primary sort, if you want order type and then priority, then these must be sort criteria 10 and 20, etc.
Follow these steps
- Start 'Work Schedule. Open Toolbox' (MOS195/B) and select sorting order 8='Sequence number'.
- Select an appropriately sorted view.
- Click F18 and specify a start date and time to reschedule the
operations.
The operations are rescheduled according to the view.
